Lisa –
We studied our Bible to see if what we had been taught as Adventists was true. We found so many beautiful truths in the Bible that we had never been taught and that did not agree with Adventist doctrine. We were so happy to find this book and discover that others had found the same truths we had found through prayer and reading only the Bible. This book is very helpful for those who are questioning or transitioning out of the Adventist church.
James Baber –
Cultic Doctrine delivers just what the title implies, an exposition of the Cultic Doctrine of the Seventh-day Adventist church.
I appreciate the profuse use of footnotes citing Ellen White works and others. What I have learned after 25+ years of engaging cults and non-Christian religions is that their old books are valuable in terms of showing these non-Christians statements by their “prophet” and how those words contradict the one source of truth: The Bible. The footnotes and quotes are convincing proof and objective evidence the Adventist church is not directed by the True God of the Bible.
As the author explains on pages 326-329 and 333, there are only three possible answers explaining Ellen White: “(1) a victim of an early brain injury, (2) a true prophet or “messenger of God” or (3) was she a messenger of darkness?” (p. 333). The evidence presented in this book show that option 2 is not possible which leaves only options 1 and 3 available.
